Somatic Release Breathwork™

Please join Kula Yoga and Sarah Waller for a Somatic Release Breathwork™ Workshop!

Somatic Release Breathwork helps to connect to the subconscious mind and bring awareness and insights that are otherwise hard to access. The breathwork practice utilizes a circular breathing pattern, rhythmic music, and light touch to help open blocked energy centers within the body. The breathwork helps to facilitate a cathartic release that helps to expel stress and anxiety, suppressed emotions, negative belief systems, old patterns, and addictions that may be holding us back. These stressors are stored within the tissues of our bodies and when released, it helps to free up space within the body. This helps to promote relaxation, clarity and helps to bring about a greater sense of joy and presence.

Many people report feelings of euphoria and out-of-body experiences during the session, followed by elevated states of gratitude and bliss upon completion.

This type of breathwork is not advised for pregnant people.

Cost: $30

We will gradually ease into a space of stillness, where you’ll be immersed in the healing vibrations of the gong.

As we return to awareness, we’ll join our voices in chanting healing tones, allowing their resonance to integrate the experience. Our practice will then close with a heartfelt song, sealing the energy we’ve cultivated together.

Meditative Sound Journey

Meditative Sound Journey

A dynamic meditative experience designed to invite you through the portal of your inner world using the healing power of sound.

Marcy will drum and play crystal singing bowls accompanying mantras and vocal toning to guide and support a meditative space where your curious attention can dance alongside the sounds and explore your vast inner world.

Your first job is to make yourself as cozy as possible. Bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket, and whatever you might need to support yourself during this experience. It is also acceptable to be seated in a chair if that is more accessible for you. (Additional blankets, bolsters, weighted bean bags, and chairs are available at the studio.)

Marcy will begin with intention setting and grounding with breath, guided imagery and mantra to help connect the body and mind, inviting stillness and relaxation. Your sense of the outer world will fade into the background as the sounds usher you gently into your inner world. It is here that healing vibrations, frequencies and sensations can weave their magic into your experience.

You may notice imagery or visions behind closed eyes, emotional shifts, answered questions, creative inspiration, blockages or stagnation releasing, a deep sense of inner knowing and connection to intuition, memory retrieval, physical tingling or vibrating, deep relaxation, sleep, bliss, peace. You may also experience none of these things and simply explore following the dynamic undulating sounds that fill the space around you.

It is possible that unexpected memories or emotions bubble to the surface and it is important to know that this is a supported space where it is safe to feel the full range of human emotion. It is possible that you may wish to open your eyes and take a few breaths, reconnect with the space using your 5 senses before laying back down to relax into the sounds.

There are contraindications associated with sound baths and frequency healing. Sound baths are not recommended for those with heart arrhythmia, pacemakers, metal plates in the body, implanted pumps/devices, epilepsy, pregnancy, severe health issues, and some mental health diagnoses. If you have or are experiencing any of these, please consult with your doctor regarding safety before attending this sound journey.
